About
Brenda Pothier has acted, danced, choreographed and directed regional productions of well-known and experimental musicals and plays in Massachusetts for more than 20 years. She's also guested as a singer for bands, and acted in independent film.
"Tinsel & Bows" is Brenda's first recorded effort. The Christmas parody of Elle King's "Ex's & Oh's" was written and produced by writer/comedian Dave Rattigan and engineered by Warren Babson at Bang A Song Studios in Gloucester, Mass. It features Tony Goddess on guitars and Dennis Monagle on drums. It is released on Dicheal Records. Special thanks to Satch Kerans for his help and wise guidance.
Comedian Jolanda Logan, one of the first to hear "Tinsel & Bows," wrote, "I think that song is about my sister! Many women will be singing that on a loop through the holiday period. It's quite the anthem for the Christmas-loving person who does it to the max."
The Video
The video for "Tinsel & Bows" was created by Brian Long, featuring Brenda Pothier and comedian Dan Donahue.
It draws on Cindi Laupner and 1980's videos as its inspiration, and on the people who have totally embraced the Christmas season for the benefit of their loved ones. And their cats.
